"dd if=... of=..." Data Dump Question
I dont know if there is anyone here that can help me but I'll give it a try. By the way I am trying to make a standard ISO.
I am trying to create an ISO of a CD. I open terminal and type the following...
dd if=/dev/disk1 of=/Users/Nomad/Desktop/CD.iso
Once the ISO is created and completed for some reason I can not "mount" it. I get an error window that says:
The following disk images failed to mount:
CD.iso no mountable file system
Could it be related to the block size or some other incorrect operand? I am a little lost on this. Anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks,
Nomad
