jeeez... this thing is AWESOME

No dates announced though (AFAIK)

WiFi b/g

Bluetooth 2.0

USB 2

2MP camera/video phone

4GB (up to)

AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMV, MP3, etc support

Direct voice recording

FM Radio recording

3.5mm audio out jack

something about using Windows Media Player 10 for sync (grrrr)

With Skype coming out with a version for Series 60 platform as well, you're looking at making free or almost free calls anywhere there is WiFi

This is what i've always been waiting for!

iSync better be perfect with it

well, to tell the truth, Im expectying a clunker from Moto as well.

AFAIK its a standard Moto phone with an ivory/iPod-ish color, and then iTunes Mobile built in...

I generally dont like Moto phones, except for the latest RAZR3 series which is just... grrrrrrmiiiao... niiice. (although juuuuust a little too wide for my taste)

You must own one of those dell mp3 players if you think that thing looks cool. It's far from cool looking unless your like a monkey at the zoo and you enjoy holding poo in your hand.

I don't see anywhere that this is actually placing phones via wifi kids... for that I think you still need the cisco phone...

Specs are awesome, but the design sucks... Especially the buttons.

Nokia also announced the N90, which spec wise isn't nearly as complete as the N91 but it looks a lot cooler.

I'd wager the iTunes phone will probably be similar in design to the motorola SLVR

N91 has Wifi. Skype is making a version for the Series 60 phones.

It'll just be another app you can run when there is WiFi...

    Telecom Operators will hate this

BTW< I've seen some reports that say this thing is gonna be around 800usd!! Thats a biiiiit on the steep side.

I cant see it being an iPod Killer if its that damn expensive

Contradicting you would be pointless, but I'm feeling bored.

You are mistaken if you think every handy dandy cell phone on the market with wifi will be downloading a cell-ready version of Skype (or any other app) anytime soon. The answer is NOT the App. Takes too much headroom and adaptability for a given phone. MANY phones have wifi today. Excluding Pocket PCs... I would invite you to find one other then ciscos which does what you are describing... The feature has to be built into the cell.

Bottom line. This phone(in question) does NOT make wifi calls. There are no plans to support that in any capacity in the near future. (and that includes Skype)

    That, was my point.

my friend has a pocketPC organizer thing that has Windows mobile that has WiFi and he calls me all the time with it: both from it to my Mac or to my fixed phone.

Skype is simply awesome. I dont see why the Series60 version of Skype won't allow you to do the same thing

Granted. Pocket PC version is great. Kudos to the authors...

Without getting to technical or legal... I would be *very* surprised if it makes it to the Series60 complete.
