Powerbook 800 wants to upgrade - should I???

Yes, i got a nearly 4 year old Powerbook 800 with 512mb ram and 60gb HD. and i've been wanting a new powermac for awhile now and have been waiting for these upgrades.



I can just, just afford a Powermac 2.7, 2gb ram, 250gb hd, 6800 graphics, 23" screen. good machine right.



i'm a graphic designer, and my powerbook has been an excellent workhorse but i need this new powermac to last me another 4 years.



should i wait another few months to see if any dual core machines appear? will they be at this current price point or more expensive?



decisions!! decisions!!

    one suggestion is to get the 23" screen now (I have one and it is great) and then wait for the processor upgrade unless you are doing video in which case you need the cpu cycles
