Superdrive firmware update

I'm truly amazed no one has posted this yet. Today apple released a firmware update to June 2004 and "late 2004" Powermacs, along with "usb 2.0" emac's. there was some speculation in these forums a while back that said a firmware update would come at the end of april, bringing enhanced burning capabilities to Pioneer burners. It doesn't appear like this update brings such functionality, but Apple does say it improves support of the DVD medium.

EDIT: great, i was instructed to check my firmware version in system profiler, but system profiler now refuses to show me my ATA cards.
