GF2MX in a cube?

would the oem gf2mx from a pmac fit in a cube? i have a new radeon 8500 comming ups and also have a friend that might be interested in buying my current card. does anyone know if it will fit? will it overheat in the cube?

    It will fit, for sure. However, your friend might want to consider getting a fan for the Cube. It's not necessary, but you might want to as excessive heat could shorten the life of the machine. I think you can buy a fan that has the same footprint as the Cube and just pushes air through it. I'd say get the GeForce 2MX, it'll be a big improvement over the Rage 128 and if your friend feels uncomfortable with the amount of heat buildup, he can get the fan for it.

    Yes, geForce 2MX's fit perfectly (my Cube's got one), though the fan is highly recommended: that's a sight more heat than the convective cooling was ever supposed to deal with. Cubes were designed with a fan in mind, since there's a bracket in the bottom to fit a 9mm-high fan.
