Tiger Server Multi-Client

If I buy a 10-Client Pack of Tiger Server, will I be able to install it on a number of computers which aren't networked?

I am looking at the server version because?

- I am interested in learning in depth about Mac OS systems administration and networking and Tiger Server has far greater functionality and utilities for features such as VPN.

- And also because if I can pay £350 for 10 licenses it will work out at very good value.

However I'm unsure as to whether:

A) The 10-client pack contains 10 licenses of Tiger Server

B) The 10-client pack contains 1 Tiger server license and 9 client licenses.

or

C) The 10-client pack allows up to 10 clients to network boot from one version of the software installed on one server.

Which of these is most accurate? I would appreciate any advice.

Regards

Andrew

Legaly no - the 10 client license is a ONE SERVER LICENSE - you can serve up to 10 client (ala end user) boxes at once. (assuming your equipment can handle that load)

Just get the family pack and use the tools in the unix command line, knowing unix is invaluable as any one can point and click. and most everything that is in the server is sitting there in the terminal sans the pretty buttons

Agreed with a_greer. Not being mean SquidThing but you obviously don't know much about Mac OS X Server so in all honesty it would be a waste of your money (I know you want to learn, that's why I'm being nice). If you buy Mac OS X Server you do not get Mac OS X Tiger to put on those machines, you only get the server software DVD that you put on your Server and that will allow you to support 10 clients (they could be running something other than Tiger or Mac for that matter).
