Installing Tiger with external DVD drive?
I got my copy of Tiger today for my first generation Flat Panel iMac G4, and I was shocked to find out that my iMac G4 has no DVD drive (only CD-RW). I'm wondering if it's possible to still install Tiger with:
1) an external DVD drive
2) another Mac with a DVD drive
I don't want to do the $9.99 mail in deal if I don't have to. I've also heard about installing Mac OS X on another Mac with DVD but select my iMac's HD (in Firewire Target Disk Mode) as the destination, but I really don't want to do that because my other Mac with DVD is a PowerBook, which I'm afraid will cause conflicts with configurations on the iMac.
TIA,
Eric
