Resolution Independance

I just installed tiger and xcode 2 and I LOVE THIS THING, but I want to play around with the much talked about resolution independance...how does one goabout turning that on?

Developer > Applications > Performance Tools > Quartz Debug (or Spotlight for it)
Then go to Tools > Show User Interface Resolution

Interesting that nothing happens on the mini when the slider is used...is it another NV5200+ only thing?
