Hi,

I have a dual 450 G4 running 10.3.9 with a radeon graphics card. the machine has been running fine and I recently put in a 64mb radeon 9000 graphics card to replace the 32mb radeon mac edition which went fine and the machine was running ok.

However, today I started up the mac and there was no display at all until the desktop. Let me explain this further:

Normally:

Turn on the mac and I get the familiar pale gray screen with the apple logo and the spinning thing at the bottom before the desktop comes up.

Now:

Turn on the Mac and the screen stays black with a message saying "Invalid sync". I can here the hard drive going so the machine is still booting up. Then the desktop mysteriously suddenly appears on the screen.

In other words I get absolutely no display while botting until the desktop has loaded.

Now if I Zap the PRAM and restart:

I get the familiar pale gray screen with the apple logo and the spinning thing at the bottom at a very low res before the desktop comes up. If I restart the machine then once again I get nothing until the dektop.

can anyone help me out here?
