I currently have a number of apple servers and want to add a SAN into the mix. I was wondering if anyone here knows of a solution that will work with the apple servers other then the Xraid.

Why is the Xserve RAID out of the question? It's a great buy for the money...or are you not int he market for quite that much storage?

What's your current config and what are you doing that requires so much bandwidth?

Do you already have the fiber switch?

as the post above stated. What is the issue with the XRAID?

Well there are some issues without the backup controller and the fact that these drives are PATA drives. We don't presently have a switch though. The main reason for the storage is for the imap message store. Then, if possible we would like to use it for users homedirs since we have a lot of developers that need their info on various machines.
