Tiger / Safari using a Proxy Server is Slow
Since upgrading to Tiger I have found Safari to be very slow to some sites, such as Google.
Our IT geek tells me this is because Tiger is now using HTTP version 1.1 but our Proxy server only allows HTTP v1.0.
Given that or IT says there's now way we can upgrade our Proxy server, does anyone know of a way of telling Safari to use v1.0
Both Internet Explorer and Firefox can drop down to v1.0 when required but I'd rather use Safari.
Anyone have any ideas or having the same problem?
