The Disappearing Automator
Having experimented with 2 small Automator applications, and saved them as apps. I placed them in the Dock, as you do. Lo and behold on startup they have disappeared off the Dock into thin air.
They are still to be found in the folder I created for such items within Applications and work ok, but they are not in 'My Workflows' within Automator, or at least the titles are, but when I try to access them it tells me they are not to be found.
Should I be saving these in both formats (Workflow and Application)?
It seems to me that the whole object of Automator apps is to have stuff 1 click away from the Dock, but if they keep disappearing.........!

However I have since found that if you save the item both as a workflow and an application then the problem is solved and they don't disappear from the Dock.

that seems a bit odd but I'm glad you found a workaround - maybe it's a bug.
