Is finally coming to DVD. It's about freakin' time!

The made-for-TV movie Pirates of Silicon Valley is finally on its way to DVD from Warner Home Video on August 30th. The film, starring Noah Wyle and Anthony Michael Hall as Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, follows history of Apple and Microsoft and its founders along with the fierce and often humorous battle to rule the fledgling personal computer empire. The DVD arrives with a fullscreen transfer and Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround track. The sole extra is an introduction by Wyle. Retail is $19.98.

Thanks for the good news... I seriously drove about 45 minutes away to the Virgin Megastore in downtown N.O. the other day in an effort to locate an old copy of the VHS that I could transfer to DVD. I was unsuccessful and very disappointed, but this has renewed my hope that someone out there gives a shit about this film. Thanks again for the good news.

A memorable film with the final exchange between Bill Gates and Steve Jobs

    that was so phrophetic

    ( forgive the paraphrasing)

    Jobs: ... ''we are better''

    Gates... ''it doesn't matter''

They should sell a boxed set of Pirates of Silicon Valley and iCon. That would make Steve explode.
