Apple Shipping Delays?

My father ordered a BTO Mac mini from the Canadian Apple Store. Estimated ship: 3-5 business days. On the sixth business day, he got an e-mail from Apple. Due to an "unexpected delay", the estimated ship date has been bumped ahead by a week. The Canadian Apple Store still lists the estimated ship time for minis as 3-5 business days. Perhaps the factory blew up just as they were preparing to send the computer and nobody knows about it yet.



Has anyone else had "unexpected delays" from the Apple Store?

    Haven't a clue if this is normal as it is my first ever order: "The expected delivery time for your order is 6 - 7 days." (UK Store)



    I'm sure it said 3 - 7 days a few days back...

    Yea, unfortunately. I am waiting for a BTO mini, and the first time was only a 3 day delay, and then I get another e-mail from them saying that it's going to be delayed a week and a half.

    Maybe you'll be lucky enough to get a new version. Ours was just late.
