So upgraded to tiger and therefore "upgraded" to QT7, and I noticed that not ONLY did my registration go dead, but QT 7 has even FEWER free features than QT6!

Try to save a movie as source from in the browser, for instance.

My question, I guess, is what the hell am I supposed to do? can I downgrade to QT6?

Once I installed QT7 I started having issues with Pro Tools, iTunes and Sorenson Squeeze.

I reverted back to QT6 via the QuickTime 6.5.2 reinstaller.

Then everything was cool and behaving.

I ran Software Update a day later and installed the Security Update and QT7 again and all is well.

You might try reverting then reinstalling.

    It worked for me.

    Good luck!

    thanks guys

I refuse to buy QT again, so I think I'll downgrade to 6.x . After all, what happens if QT 8 quashes old licenses as well?
