How can I add Spotlight data to multiple items, at the same time?

None of the keyboard combos give you the ability to add Spotlight data to multiple items. This is a PITA. I've been trying to add as much ancillary info as possible, so that Spotlight will be more effective. When I have a folder of 50 items-say birthday pictures-I'd like to select them all and add 'birthday picture' to the Spotlight info field. This seems like an obvious omission on Apple's part.

Anyhow, is there another way to do this? Maybe Automator or AS?

Automator has a "Add Spotlight Comments" action.

Awesome! I hadn't seen that before.

I made a workflow and can now add info to files. Is there a way to re-run the script as the last stepif its saved as an app? I'd like to create the option to start over and add info to more files.
