Different countries = Different Quality Control?

Hi there,



I currently reside in Hong Kong and was set on buying an iBook until a friend of mine told me how QC standards for foreign countries were different from those of the states. Have you heard anything related to this? I'm leaving for the states in about 3-4 months so should I wait till then to get one?
