Bookmark Shortcuts in Safari

In Firefox, you can set textual shortcuts for bookmarks. I'm not sure if this is possible in Safari.

For example, I map google.com to gg, so if I want to search for, oh, info on iPods, I would just type:

gg iPod

in the URL bar...

Which would resolve to google.com/search?q=iPod

With gg mapping to google.com/search?q=%s in my Google bookmark.

The reason I'm thinking of using Safari is because it uses so much less memory than Firefox. Of course, Type Ahead Find is another big feature that doesn't exist in Safari, so I don't know if I'll make the switch.

i just use the google search bar in safari, and bookmark a search if i need to keep checking it. this does exactly the same thing as what you're doing, except that you click a box rather than type gg.
