USB Printer trouble...

Hello,



I have installed tiger 10.4.0 on my computer and I am unable to select my printer... There is simply not a "USB" option so select from. I have tried to select the Cannon BJ network, but no luck there either...



I have a Canon iP1500 and I have installed the driver off the CD.

Have you tried getting the latest version of the driver off their website? Perhaps the driver on the CD is not compatible with Tiger.

When you open the Print & Fax preference pane all mounted usb printers should show up. If your's doesn't, try hitting the + sign to add a printer, and disconnect/reconnect the usb cable.



I don't know how you got that particular dialog box, but it isn't on my install of Tiger. (Oops, yes it is, and 'Epson usb' shows upo in mine)



I've tried to post an image of my printer pane, but can't work out how to do it. How do you get an image saved on the desktop to mount between the vB codes for an image?

Heh, its always the stupidest thing... turn on the frigging printer first



BTW: to post a picture it need to be accessible online. So put it up on a website somewhere and link to it as above with the URL to the picture...
