turn off the annoying habit that IE has of creating a drop down menu every time I click on a link in my toolbar. Ever since IE 5.1 for X came out it does this. I will click on say AppleInsider on the toolbar and instead of going to the link a menu will drop down that says:

Internet Explorer Help

Edit Name

etc etc

And no I am not holding down the mouse button. A simple click is causing it to happen.

Thanks.

Check your control key. Make sure it isn't being pressed.

Nope. That is not it. Not touching the keyboard.

Mine does the same thing every so often. The other thing I see seems to be with the finder. If I click on the scroll bar sometime it moves the title bar to the location I clicked. Oh well, maybe someone has a solution.

This is just a glitch in my experience. It does it every so often. What I do is just click on the page somewhere and try and click on the link again. It works most of the time. If it doesn't work, just keep clicking elsewhere and going back to the link.

BTW do you have a 2 button mouse as well? I'm wondering if it's a problem with 2 button mices.
