anyway cool..! clone wars volume 2 was alright, not too shabby at all... and explains how grevious got injured by mace windu and why star wars ep 3 starts with all the pre-star-destroyers and grevious ships around...

yes, i am 26 not 16 or 6 but acting your age is so overrated nowadays
hey, i'm 29, and acting my age is something I plan on never doing
The FCC is what regulates TV here in the states, and they were recently told by a federal court that they couldn't restrict what people do with TV shows once they've been broadcast (they wanted to control certain PVR functions like skipping commercials).
So... uh... go blame Ted Turner or something.

Because that is rebroadcasting of copyrighted media. The other decisions held that TiVO could not be forced to remove the ability to skip over commercials.
edit1: i am glad that my local free-to-air managed to get their hands on clonewars vol1 and2 and star wars episode 2, part of some 'star wars' gala showing yesterday, but all the commercialisation, and rubbish hosts and interviews and sh1t, just really spoilt what i was after -- the content. shure, i would be interested in watching freaks dress up (that's why i went to the very first showing of revenge of sith in my local cinema) but just not yesterday, i just wanted to see clonewars vol.2 because that was important in a bit of revenge of sith backstory ~ especially why grevious was like all wheezing and stuff (mace windu force-crushed him just before he escaped from coruscants surface with the chancellor palpatine)
edit2: also, my parents don't get any of the cartoon network or nick channels on cable(satellite i mean) Tv, because, well, their 55+ and i'm over 25
...but they were also showing clone wars unmolested on cartoon network and all i saw was a nice "you are not subscribed to this satellite TV channel"
my point is mainly that people are really starting to clamour for digital video downloads, the video-on-demand that has been hyped for years and years and years.
i understand there is a mix of factors before this is possible, but the big players need to get wise soon, they're only losing profits in the meantime while suing people. you can't sue the whole internet
If anything, the iTMS has shown that this model will work.

Agreed. It is utterly, utterly foolish for the networks not to COMPLETELY jump on the bandwagon. The box is opened, and there's nothing they can do. But imagine: $2-5 to download the latest episode of X at good speeds, maybe with some kind of tasteful advertising (like the US does during the World Cup).

re: advertising, yes, advertising has to take on a new spin, eg. SuperBowl i think you mean in the US, and World Cup Soccer/Football for the rest of the world
where people actually look forward to some funky crazy cool ads, not just pummeled with another, makes your clothes 10x brighter ..!! rubbish in the middle of your favourite show.

Oh no, I meant how the US does the ads during the World Cup. Tasteful little badges in the corner of the screen.

PS: I am recording it, but I have 30K upload speed. So far, it is 7.11GB and climbing. A good candidate for H.264.
