Messenger Keeps Disconnecting

Hello again.



I am forever reconnecting Messenger 4.0.1 - it stays online for a few minutes then goes off. It's driving me crazy.



Please help.

    Sorry. I should say 'it SIGNS me out', not disconnects. I then have to sign in again, only to have to do it a few minutes later.

    i think there is a newer version out, it might be incomatible with whatever OS you have.

    Yes, there is a Messenger 7 - but it doesn't seem to be for Macs. From what I can gather, I have the latest for my mac (OSX 10.3.9).

    I had hat same problem in my old apartment but it stopped when I moved. it's weird though because it would never disconnect on my PC but did all the time on my Mac.

    Thanks for your input guys. I am trying out adium. It looks good, but file transfer is VERY slow compared to messenger. I may have to live with that, otherwise I will go mad signing in every few minutes.

    You can also try Proteus http://www.defaultware.com/proteus/ though it is shareware, and not free as AdiumX.
