Hey guys,

I was in Tokyo last week and picked up this stand for my 15" from the Ginza Apple store.

I seem to remember hearing that standing the PB on end was bad (long term) for the hard drive and other internals...does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks!

I don't *think* there is a problem if it's totally vertical. I think that the problem comes when it's at a slight angle. I've heard people complain about standing the PSTwo on edge and having the CDs start to get scratched because the unit wasn't completely vertical. I'm not sure how true that was about the PSTwo or if it even applies to the PowerBook. But I believe that something similar would be the problem if there was one.
