this sounds much more plausible, along with Stevie J spending 15 minutes debunking the "move to intel" rumors as pure FUD. In that 15 minutes he will also turn his RDF to "11" (as in it normally only goes from 1-10) and say how they are 'on target' with the next gen G5s without actually revealing any details whatsoever. leaving everything open to Paris for IBM to put up or shut up.
All of that sounds plausible, but it doesn't mean no Intel switch. After all, they will need something to sell until the switch in 2006. And the 4 button scroll mouse seems in line with a radical change in thinking at Apple.

i think the Intel discussions are just that-
preliminary discussions, checking out what's happening while they sort the IBM mess out. but yes, radical change in thinking, they are opening up their options by considering Intel. but i seriously doubt anything concrete w.r.t. Intel at this stage.
