Mac OS 9 to OS X ...IBM to Intel?

Just a few years ago, OS X was announced and this was a big thing for software developers. Everybody had to make new software to work with Mac OS X, and Apple has just started to emerge from the tunnel of software and document incompatibility beacuse of the switch. I don't think Apple is going to try to do this again, so we arn't going to see a major change is the chips archetecture, e.g. were not going to see an Intel chip as we know it in a Mac soon. If Apple partners with Intel, we could be seeing a chip very similar to the G5, but with Intel, Apple will get more production, and some other advantages with chips partly designed on Intel standards, such as a PowerBook chip: one that produces less heat.
