Apple R&D ?

If Apple goes to Intel mobo's what will happen to the engeneers that worked on Apple PPC mobo's? Will they be fired, reducing the R&D costs? Or will Apple make their own mobo's with Intel chipsets to have complete custimization? If they goes out of mobo's activities than they will have big problems coming back to PowerPC.



Will Apple license MacOSX? I think no. What will happen if one company makes a reverse engeneering on the chip that controls mobo-OS like IBM-competitors had made in the 80'?

    Just becouse they are using Intel chips doesn not mean that they are using Intel mother boards. They could be designing their own off of an Intel reference mother board design just like they have done all along with PowerPC's.
