IE 6 gets tabbed browsing

It seems they have finally catched up with tabbed browsing - albeit a half-assed solution.



Microsoft is offering tabbed browsing in IE 6 (their most widely used version) to people that install the MSN search plug-in. I haven't tried it myself yet, but people interested could follow this link and download the plug-in if they have a Windows version running.



On the other hand, Firefox has achieved a 62.6 million figure of downloads (not counting those downloaded by FTP or third-party websites, including millions of downloads at www.download.com) and it seems that Microsoft has felt the burn on their butt coming from Firefox.

    I just tried it: it's down-right horrible.



    I mean, come on! Maxton and other IE clones have had tabs for ages, and even they, with their minimal engineers have been able to do it better!
