The future of Mac stores?

GAP changes their stores

Gap started by replacing its white walls with warm colors, original artwork, and gallery lighting.

If I recall correctly, weren't Apple stores modeled in part on the GAP line of stores? I couldn't imagine a seperate entrace for men and women, but I could see more division between iPods and Macs or some other dividing line.

So what is your take on this?

You want Apple stores to have different entrances for each product line?

Whoa, that's pretty far out, man.

Isn't the point of the Apple store design to force shoppers to walk past items they didn't want to see? Separate the store and then people can enter and leave the store without ever seeing half the products.

Most stores are too small for much of a design change. I like the openness and brightness of the current stores. As long as the colors stay bright they can change them all they want.
