Need Advice

Hello all I need some advice on a purchace.



I've been checking out ebay and it seems that Powermac g5's are going pretty cheap. I currently own a 12 in Powerbook 1.33 mhz, 80 gig HD, with 768 of RAM, and a 800 mhz iMac g4, 60 gig HD, 512 of RAM with a Superdrive.



Ok i'm considering selling both machines and buying a used G5, probably a dual 2 ghz or better. I just wanted some advice to see if some of you guys think it's a good idea. I'm also currently looking at buying it at ebay.



Do you guys think I should buy a refurbished G5 instead?



If so were is a good place to buy?



I'm runing FCP studio and I want to run Motion at Maximum speed along with After Effecs.

    AAPL just posted tons of great deals on certified refurbs, as good as many ebay prices. check those out and whatever you do, upgrade the ram to 1 gig minimum..

    go for it i believe on counting on memory i have the 1st generation of the G5 iMacs, and im loving it so great, and soo fast im loving it... bosa nova loving it im a very happy customer i highly recommend the iMac G5
