Keep us apprised on shipping status, as in the US and abroad, shipping times have increased 7-10 days.

For what I want the laptop for I am not too worried about an upgrade. A little but not tons.

The shipping seems good. The iPod shipped two days ago and the iBook shipped today! I am sooooo pumped to be getting a mac again. Now I need to know what software to get.

Well, Don't worry, Just becase the cap of a P4 is 7.5 Ghz and the most powerfull stock is 3.8ghzdoesn't mean the they will be in the computers, THere will probly be Pentium M or Celeron that runs at 1.6 Ghz

It's a way of the universe. The computer you bought will be replaced very shortly after you bought it no matter what.

When I got my iMac G4 in 2002 it was slightly before they dropped the $100 price hike and lowered the price again as well as right before they updated the iBooks and made the eMacs public, both of which I had wanted instead.

    It happens. LOL

So enjoy your iBook. Hopefully you'll beat all odds and they won't update the iBooks so soon.
