Mac OS X on other processors

I watched the video about Apple and Intel joining forces. They now say that any apple Mac OS X operating system will work on any Intel processor system. Well, does this apply to AMD? They never mentioned it in the video.. is it just implied? After all.. AMD and Intel are similar to each other. Thanks for your time.

    No. OS X will only run on apple mac computers made by apple. and at the moment they are only using intel processors

    Actually at the moment they are still using PowerPC processors, but the Intel switch is just down the road.
