Mac apps ( OS?) working on Intel

As you well know, there was a video posted not too long ago.. explaining Apple's alliance with Intel in the next two years. Apparently you can now run the last 5 major versions of Mac OS on any Intel processing system. They stated this in the video. These versions are Mac OS 9 to Mac OS X Tiger. These can all run on Intel processor based systems. So does this mean I can get myself a copy of Tiger and install it on a laptop that is not made by apple, but however contains a recent Intel Pentium Processor (I.e. Centrino, P4, Celeron)?

I.e. Dell Inspiron with Tiger, and a Pentium 4 processor (Intel).

- I will greatly appreciate the replies. Thank you.

Actually, no... Mac OS 9 cannot be run on Intel hardware. It was the 5 version of OS X that have been released that can be run on Intel hardware. Remember, there was a 10.0 version of OS X. Through 10.4 for Tiger, that makes a total of five.

As for running it on non-Apple hardware, according to one of the VPs at Apple, the answer to that question is no.

Plus it is also worth noting that a version of OS X that works on intel hardware is not publicly available yet.
