Real Media Content in Quicktime

I searched for an answer, but I couldn't find one. Sorry if this is something that has already been discussed.



I was wondering if there is any way to watch streaming Real Media content in Quicktime. I'm running Quicktime 7 (Pro) in Tiger.

    No, you can't. Real has its own proprietary format (just like Windows Media, or the Sorenson codec in QuickTime, as examples). There are a few media types that will play in both players, but anything that is encoded with their codecs is strictly for that player.
