how: extract scenes from DVD to put in home video

I dont have much time or patience... so, I dont want to have to extract the WHOLE DVD movie and then cut it apart...



I'm making a DVD of a bachelor party I wnet to and we went to Paintball...



I wanted to include scenes from All Quiet on the Western front, Black Hawk Down, Platoon, etc etc... just for shits n giggles



Now then...



Any way to do this painlessly?



Im just using iMovie 5 btw... its more than enough for this little project...

    I hope I dont hav eto actually take out entire chapters though... well.. beats doing an entire movie I guess...

    Otherwise only thing I could think of would be Snapz Pro X by Ambrosia Software. It'll let you take out sections but in all honesty you're better off going for chapter extraction and editing it. MPEG Streamclip is very good for converting as well.
