Transitions cause pixelation in Final Cut Pro

I'm editing a video in Final Cut Pro and I just noticed that whenever I have a transition (cross dissolve) at the end of the transition it causes the video to pixelate badly...at least, enough to notice and it looks crappy...



What's causing this and what can I do to fix it???



The source clip looks normal....

    Did you Render Video first? If you're playing it through unrendered, your videocard will be preview-rendering it in real time. However, it might dip in quality occasionally when played without being rendered beforehand.



    Try Render Video and get back to us. (Shortcut is option-R I think)
