OS X Update?

How is OS X 10.4.2 what improvements does it offer?

I just got into the Apple world of computing, So im a new user and i also will like to know what will i be expecting and what is different between the OS X operating system and the Windows? Thanks a bunch...

    opening up email attachments will be a joy



    edit: my father-in-law this morning forwarded me an email with an 8 byte attachment to open up on my mac to make sure it wasn't anything important!

    10.4.2 is a very nice release of tiger. it's really stable and fast. all "point releases" are free btw.
