itunes playing strange on pc

in iPod + iTunes + AppleTV edited January 2014
Am playing itunes, latest version for windows, 4.9

It plays the music as if i am playing underwater. I then play music through the microsoft media player and everything is fine. What the hell!!!?. As anyone experienced this problem today?

    Some weird iTunes equalizer setting that accidentally got switched on perhaps?

    I wish it was that.. no, even if turning the equalizer off, still the same problem. I should clarify, it sounds like the music is breaking up... like i am playing music over a bad connection.

    Problem solved. I rebooted and it eventually went away.

    Strange!!.. i also ran anti-virus programs,etc. Don't know if they did anything but i am happy now.
