Could a new vido ipod have a touchscreen

With the recent business news of Apple considering changing suppliers of their click wheel could Apple's 'possible' new Video ipod have a large touchscreen with a virtual click wheel?



This way the ipod could stay the same size and have a larger screen at the same time.

    it doesn't seem likely. When i heard a similar (or same) idea on the MacCast, my immediate thought was that it wouldn't feel right. With my ipod, i can feel where the wheel is becuase of the different texture but i think an all touch screen thing woudl not feel right.



    Plus, i don't think touch screen are advanced enought o tell the right type of motion and, a larger screen would surely drain the battery.

    It was just an idea that Ive seen and I was curious to know if touchscreen technology is advanced enough to pull it off.

    i should have been more clear. I think it is possible to have it but it will probably be too expensive and hard to integrate
