ok, so the new iMac goes into computer room and we basically only load new stuff made for OS X on it...keeping it clean and shining and new....the old iMac DV 400MHz goes into one of the girls rooms to use....so the question:

do we update the old iMac or keep it in 9.1 and doing the things it does now...write papers and reports, email, surf web, some games??

or do we update to be the same as the new computer?? thanks

Run 10 on it while Apple still supports it's video card.

Update it, so you can get all the latest apps. There are toooo many benefits to mention. As long as you get Office v.X, and install it on both iMacs (you can buy 2 licenses if you want, but I don't think anybody gives a hoot if you do or don't), you'll have two great machines.. Much easier to administer as well.
