Finder Color Labels

Where do files store their Finder Label color attribute in Panther? In the Data Fork? Or in the Resource Fork? Or is it in another file or file system resource?



I am using Apple's PackageMaker to build an installer. The files I am installing need to have a Finder color label code. After I build and deploy the package, the color-labeled files lose their Finder color label metadata...

    Good question, but I have no idea.

    I do have another question, however: I want more colors and/or customizable ones ! ... Please, Apple ? ...
