Flash Player / OS X

I can't get Flash web-games to work under OSX.1.2 / IE5.1

The "Shockwave Flash NP-PPC" is properly located (Library:Internet Plug-Ins at root level), but everytime I (my kids) try to play a game at a website, it doesn't work. The same site/game works fine with IE5 under OS 9.2

Any clues ?

(Macromedia site says that this is an OS X plugin, but i'm begining to wonder)

are you sure these games aren't macromedia shockwave (director) games? The shockwave plugin hasn't been ported yet. For some odd reason, OS X users seem to be left in the dark in terms of shockwave games and shockwave 3D. It is a shame because there are some interesting stuff out there I can't access with OS X without using classic IE or booting back into OS 9.

I would have thought Macromedia was going to bring out a slew of updates for OS X at MacWorld SF. But they were unusually quiet. Anyone have any info or talked to a Macromedia rep at MacWorld SF?
