How to determine the speed of my HD?

I have just bought a new Mac Mini with a 80 GB HD. Its fast compared to my other machine (800 Mhz iBook). But I would really like to know if I could speed up the HD.

So is there an easy way to determine the speed of the HD on this baby?

The easiest thing would be to do a google search for your HD's serial #. Go to System Profiler-->ATA and you'll find the # there. Then a simple google search and voila!

My PB's is 5400 rpm, in case you were wondering.

    Two quick points:

    1.xbench.com your hard disk.

    2.upgrade eg. 2.5" seagate momentus 7200

or another 7200rpm 8mb cache 2.5" drive. sweet. definite

    performance improvements.

If you'd bought the Mini with 40GB, you'd have a 5400, like me.

But you do have more cache in the drive than I do... (8MB vs my 2MB)
