what happened to the red box?

I remember back in the day, when they called cocoa the yellow box, carbon the blue box, and there was this rumor of another colored box, the red one which would grant mystical windows compatibility for os x. what happened to that rumor?

    It got Steved.



    There was a theory that Apple would partner with Connectix to make VPC much more robust with Red Box, but I think that got Steved, too.
