Purchase advice - new 12'' ibook vs 2 15'' years old PB
Hi all,
This is my first post, I've been ghosting the main apple forums for ages, and I finally decided to make the leap to OSX.
It's going to be a small leap because I'll still keep my Debian machine.
What I would like to know is your opinion regarding the following setups:
New 12''ibook 1.33 GHz - 1Gb RAM and 80Gb HD
1250? - prices in Finland
2 year old 15'' Powerbook 1.2 Ghz 512Mb RAM 60Gb HD
1100? - "friendly sale"
I know it all depends on what I'm going to use it for, I'm a geek.. really... not too proud but a geek. so I want to do just about anything with it
I've heard about the recurrent ibook logicboard problem, and i really don't know what to decide.
Thanking you all in advance for your inputs.

If the Powerbook fucks up then you are sold. The logic board problem is solved and really not your problem but Apples.
The only advantage the PB have over the iBook is the screen estate. But the back light is already aging on it.
