Global Mac Coverage Growing

Hi

I just been watching a movie with the family, its 'Raise Your Voice' and within first 10 minutes guess what software is being used to make a home movie, you guessed it iMovie.

Not only this, ive noticed alot recently that the world is embracing the Mac, for the first time ever i have started seeing tutorials in magazines which cover how to do stuff on both PC and Mac, like the official UK PSP guide which shows how to copy DVD's to a PSP on both Mac and PC.

Also their is the increase in Apple share price, everywhere you look their are Apple Ipod's, their is no escaping the influence of the Apple brand and while some still look down their nose at the Mac, the future is bright.

I am also rapidly researching and developing AI on the Mac, unfortunately im having problems with funding for this project.

I have noticed the same thing. My wife and I were watching the season finale of Law and Order. They went to a shot of a technical specialist showing the guys something on a computer screen and they had the 30" Cinema Display sandwiched between two 20" Cinema Displays. Very nice setup!

Apple is definitely in a position to double its marketshare if it plays its cards right. Apple just needs to convert the increasingly growing mind share into market share.

And did ANYONE expect, when the iPod was released, that a lowly "mp3 player" would turn Apple's fortunes and the Mac platform around?

Yeah...it's a weird world. Allowing the iPod to work on PCs and porting iTunes to PC did wonders for Apple. I don't think this can last forever though. Apple needs to find the next big thing consumers will go nuts for.

I'd be tempted to say this next big thing should be Airport Express A/V and an Apple Movie Store to download H.264 movies...that however is the geek in me wanting Apple to release such a thing. Unfortunately, I don't think reality will agree with me. I don't think people care as much about movies. Music and talking on a cel phone seems to be the big rage these days.

I'll never really understand the mind of the general population. I don't listen to music much outside home (the thought of listening to music on the street or in a bus or elsewhere doesn't appeal to me...people basically shut themselves from the world when they listen to music.) I also hate talking on the phone.

But whatever...the general population wants iPod and phones. Would be nice if Apple came up with a phone that works with the major cel networks, as well as with a Skype-like iChat (when you're in Bluetooth range of your computer) that allows you to phone out to anyone for free (or a very small fee).
