Automator Bug?

I have been trying in vain to get Automator to correctly re-name some photo files sequentially. For example, I shot 90 photos and put them into a file. I wanted to re-name the photos sequentially in the same order that I shot them in. Automator does rename the files...so far, so go. However, the photos are no longer in the same sequence that I shot them in. And, the numbering doesn't always start with the number that I tell it to start with.



Does anyone know if there is a bug in Automator that is creating this problem or is it just operator error??

    Problem Solved by adding "Sort Finder Items" into the workflow before "Rename Finder Items".

    Automator seems to be a little wet behind the ears still. The same with Quartz Composer.
