hey all,

i've recently networked 2 Macs using a router, and i've since noticed that ebay.com.au (the Australian version) doesn't work for me. The home page loads, but i cant search or log into 'My eBay'. When i try to do either the page will appear to start loading, but nothing happens... it just keeps going. Eventually it comes up with a message about contain no data.....

does anyone know why this is, and how i can fix it?

at first i thought it might just be that the website was down. but it's been a few days now....

if you could help, that'd be great

Does the router have a Firewall feature that might be blocking the sites?

i cant see mention of a Firewall anywhere... but OSX has one built in, right? Is it possible that it's turned on.

My MacHelp application is being a dick, where abouts are firewall options?

    Thanks

The built-in firewall doesn't have the ability to block by site. If that is happening, it must be at the router firmware.

But the firewall settings are at System Preferences -> Sharing -> Firewall.

i still cant find ANY mention of an activiated Firewall anywhere....

there was a Disable IPS Firewall box that was already ticked, which i miss-read and un-ticked. Took me a while to work out why the internet had stopped working altogether...

anyway, my problem persists. This IPS (i cant remember the exact initials, but it was something similar to IPS) Firewall is off... and there aren't any others.

It seems all security is turned off, and there's no website blocks turned on.
