hi all,

I'm currently looking at buying an additional 512Mb ram for the new ibook, but I'm not sure which ones are compatible. and i'm scared to buy the wrong one since i've done that once before with my old Compaq laptop.

can someone be nice enough to tell me which one works?

i'm currently looking at ram from this site:

RAM SITE

much much appreciated!

you need PC2100 Ram for your iBook, so look for any laptop ram (SO-DIMM) that says PC2100 after it. PC2700 will also work, iirc. Not sure about shipping to australia, but i have always bought ram from deal ram ( http://dealram.com/prices/systems/30635/512MB.html for 512mb 2100 for your iBook).

At the site you linked, this one would work: 113973\t 512M DDR 2100 RAM Generic - LAPTOP along with a number of others. The price seems high though.
