Apparently, the new version of FileMaker Pro 8 is out; it is posted on Apples mainpage.

What I dont understand is:

Is filemaker pro made by Apple?

If so, why would they have iWork?

What EXACTLY does it do? Is it just a productivity suite?

FileMaker Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Apple Computer. Their main product is FileMaker, a database solution system in the same class as 4D and Microsoft Access (but many, myself included, feel that it is much easier to work with and produces better solutions). It does not compete with iWork in the least.

You know you could have read a little on their website to find that out.
