The quality of the powerbooks
...or rather lack thereof.
I found the coolest laptop bags ever yesterday and just had to check out the 15 incher to justify to buy some shoulder jevel.
But I was really disappointed with the build quality of the current stock. The keyboard is way more shallower than that on my 12 inch iBook. It had a plastic ring around the edge of the base (and or the screen), the metal had the same feel of a soda can.
What happened? It was not like that before was it?

Me, I just would just buy a laptop sleeve and stick it in my backpack.
MacCase makes some cool ones, with windows so your logo shows through.

It's interesting, but the 12" PB keyboard has a different feel to it. Whereas the 15" and 17" models have the exact same feel (soft), the 12" keyboard actually feels like a Thinkpad. It provides solid feedback and tells me exactly what keys I hit (or miss). Feels better than the iBook too, but that's just my preference.
I can't see what you're saying about the soda can metal though. If you find a soda can that, when you hold it in your hands, just screams out quality and attract everyone else's attention, let me know what soda it is.
